Annual Texas Storytelling Festival
People of all ages come to enjoy storytelling at the largest event of its kind in the Southwest.
Storytellers from across the nation come to share their tales of sports stories, war tales and front porch stories. The storyteller's tales capture the imagination of children and adults alike.
Denton is the "Redbud Capital of Texas." To coincide with the blooming of the Redbuds in early March, a celebration is held. Activities include: home and garden show, booths,
educational programs, and exhibits throughout the day.
The internationally renowned University of North Texas One O'clock Lab Band is the featured performer.

Annual Denton Arts & Jazz Festival
The annual three-day event is a celebration of the arts. Over 2000 professional and amateur performers on six stages showcase the best in jazz, pop,
rhythm & blues and full orchestra music. In addition, community and school groups represent a wide variety of dance, choral, storytelling and theatre
performances. Fine artists and craftsman, who are juried, come from all over the region to demonstrate exhibit and sell their creations. Abundant
options of food and beverages are available in addition to the entertainment. Clowns and other activities compliment the festivals, including the
large Children's Art Tent that offers numerous art experiences under the leadership of qualified instructors.

This Mexican cultural festival is kicked off with a parade at 10:00 a.m. Activities include live bands, concession stands, picnic areas and fun for all.
Events include Dog Parade, Dog Show, Stupid Pet Tricks, Dog/Owner Singing Contest, and "Glamfur Shots" of your pet, Dog/Master look-alike contest and more.
The Air Fair features fly-ins, an open house and is open to the public. World War II antique aircraft, aerobatic maneuvers, parachute drop, and
experimental and vintage aircraft will be on display. Booths and concessions will be available.
The celebration leads off with a mayoral proclamation. Events include: a live band, softball tournament, a parade on Saturday evening,
basketball tournaments, barbecue cook-off, and games for the entire family.

Fourth of July Jubilee - "Liberty Fun Run"
Events include: American Pride Cook-off, Yankee Doodle Parade, Free Children's Carnival, Food, Horseshoe Tournament, Craft Show and sale, plus much more.
The Denton Black Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Denton Blues Fest. Come out and join the fun. We will have music for
everyone and Blues Idol contest and Apollo Night for the young.
The festivities start at 5:45 p.m. on the Courthouse Square. Event include: Lighting of Christmas Tree on Historic Courthouse Lawn, Visits with Santa,
a children's arts and crafts area, and live music featuring Brave Combo.
